If you only run a front plate with rubber trans mount (no midplate) you definately need to run lateral bars from the frame to the bell housing bolts or some other location to stop the forward or rearward motion of the engine.

Lateral bars are no problem.I just figured the midplate would be a hassle, and since my motor sits back pretty good the mid plate would be under my floor pan.Do-able,but hard to get to.So,just a front plate with a lateral bar on each side is okay?Or plain dumb?Or better off with solid mounts until I'm ready for a front AND mid plate?

BTW Ya'll should check out Suicidebomb's Racespace page and look at his engine plates!!Puuurdy!!

Default motor mounts

What about a polyurathane Mount for the Trans and a front engine plate.
