If the tires were out of balance you should still have vibration with the rear in the air because the tires are spinning in either circumstance.

Glad you have it resloved, what ever the problem was or still is? :?

PS. Also if the rear of your car squats under acceleration it could be forcing the yoke farther into the trans. Usually I like about 1/2 to 3/4 from bottoming against tail shaft when sitting on the ground.

Still having same problem i think. Car was driving good at any speed when i got wheels balanced. Took it out today and vibration was back, this time i slid a steel sleeve from tailhousing down the yolk :shock: Im taking driveshaft in tommorow to be checked. Does anyone know how to put this steel sleeve back into tailshaft? Im thinking my driveshaft is a lil short, but i will talk to driveshaft man about this also. thanks.

I mentioned this before but if the tail shaft bushing is to loose it can cause a vibration.

I believe theres a driver for it! or maybe the correct size socket! try your trans guy,if you have one. if your friends he may help you or let you borrow it David.
