Atco, NJ August 20, 2008- Tim Lynch and Crew Chief Steve Petty will be in attendance at Atco Raceway this September 6th and 7th for the 3rd Annual Outlaws at Atco presented by Franklin Trailers (www.franklintrailers.com). This well attended event will only be more popular this year with the fastest Outlaw car in the country competing.

Tim Lynch has never run at Atco Raceway but he is chomping at the bit to get his 3,500 horsepower Mustang down the historic raceway. Lynch stated, “I have heard a lot about Atco Raceway and I am looking forward to racing down the quarter-mile drag strip.”

Lynch, who has gone as fast as 6.53 seconds at 231 MPH, knows this is not going to be one-horse race. There will be plenty of other Outlaw racers trying to gun down Lynch and his 2002 Mustang. He better be a quick-draw at the track if he plans on surviving this showdown.

A new feature this year that is sure to bring in racers from all parts of the country is being called the Best of Both Worlds. Outlaws at Atco will be the only drag race in North America that will feature both ¼ and 1/8 mile racing. The ¼ mile racing will occur on Saturday September 6th and the 1/8 mile racing will happen on Sunday September 7th. The only exception is for the ¼ mile 8.50 Index race that will take place on September 7th.

The payout will also drive more racers than ever to this truly unique event. The winner of the Outlaw 10.5 ¼ mile race will receive a cool $10,000 and the winner of the 1/8 mile Outlaw 10.5 race will take home $5,000!

This one-of-a-kind event will also feature the following classes: Pro Modified, Drag Radial (no wheelie bars), Heads-Up 8.50 Index, Heads-Up 10.0 Index and Heads-Up 12.0 Index.
