Default I guess Anthony Finn from Bellwood Illinois is a scammer

I believe I have been scammed.

Ad # 182762642 8/8/16 Carburetor Section
SN9589mustang #864776

Anthony Finn
231 Englewood Ave.
Bellwood, IL.
60104

[email protected]

630-880-3622

Works at :
Chicagoland Fire Place and Chimney Restoration Company
5317 St. Charles Road
Berkley, IL.
60163

21 years old. No license. Have picture of his house and Illinois ID card.

He is on Facebook

Father, Leroy Finn

I sent him a partial payment for a carburetor and he was to send the carb. Then I was to send him the balance. He answered all my questions and appeared to be OK. Now his phone says he is not accepting phone calls and he does not respond to text. He was to forward me a tracking number a week ago, which he has not done. He said he sent it Postal.

Any advise on how to go forward or how to alert others about him so they don’t deal with him appreciated. I have contacted Racing Junk Support email to report him, so they can look into it and cancel his account if possible.

I am not above going to his house, about 3 hour drive, but don’t know if that would do any good or if he is a total fake personality.

If he contacts me and this is resolved, I will post a retraction on here.

Hi Chris. I sent him an email too and it came back. I called where he works and talked to a lady there. He apparently does work there. She took a message from me and is going to give it to his boss supposedly. My best bet is someone in the area that reads Racing Junk. I am going to call his local police dept. too.

I tried calling his number a few times today, it just rings and says he is not available. I am just going to keep calling it from my work phone every time I get a chance
I did manage to get the ad up for the carb by using a cached search. I sent him a message thru the old ad calling him out.
Member Bixblk lives about a 1/2 hour from there, maybe you can recruit his assistance?
F*cking scammer!

I would like to talk to Bixblk. How do I message him? Thanks for the help Harbone. Bought and sold over 125 items on Racing Junk with no problems before this. There were a couple questionable signs this deal was too good to be true. I think I was greedy. Hope my mistake will get others to be more careful. I can't find the ad now. I saved it as a favorite message, but when his account was disabled, I guess the ad was too. Would like to have a copy of it in case this gets police attention. I have contacted Bellwood Illinois Police Dept. and they said have to report it to my local police first. I will report it just for the record.
