stock front suspension help

Default stock front suspension help

I am new to this board so thanks for the help.I have a 78 bu with stock front suspension and CE 90/10s.How can I get it to move faster useing the stock parts. what modifications can i do to the stock parts to help it move faster. thanks again.

replace the bushings with polyurethane, Remove the sway bar, go to a trick spring,,,,

free up the control arms as much as you can while you got it apart. Ditch the rubber bump stop on top too. IF it hooks good without all that travel,limit it the car will 60 ft better as long as it hooks.

You can get some bearing type bushings for the front control arms that are much better than the Poly type. I can get more info if needed.

I have been told that the poly bushings are not ideal for drag racing...too stiff doesn't allow the control arms to move as freely...I have a new set for my car but never installed them after hearing this. Any truth to it?
