Default Lost my Brother-in-Law and a patriot

I just needed to vent about a bad thing that happened to our family this past weekend. My Brother-in-Law Sgt. Ellis Brown was riding his Harley with a couple of soldier buddies of his and had wreck that caused multiple injuries that took his life at 43. He had given 24 years of military service. I considered him a brother, American hero, and protector of our family. He was divorced and raising 2 daughters he is leaving behind 3 altogether, 24, 21, and 13. My wife and I are taking in the 13yo.

I hope this doesn't make anyone mad, but I know there are a lot of patriotic guys on this forum and I didn't think anyone would mind if I vented for a bit.

Ellis giving my son his first salute.

His favorite tatoo

Ellis is on the right.

Well Curtis, that sucks. America lost a good man indeed... I love the tattoo's he had... a proud American Soldier. The kid's he leaves behind can always be proud... in memory of the man & American Soldier he will always be. I am really sorry about that. you are a good man for helping the 13yr old & seeing she will have support & love.

I believe there is a special welcoming when soldiers finally go home... in a place so much better than ours... the hard work, loyalty, selflessness, & love for their country... enduring anything that comes their way... I can't help but believe God has welcomed him home with the words: "well done, good & faithful servant"....

RIP Sgt Eliis Brown!! Semper fi & thanks for your hard work... WE ALL SALUTE YOU WITH SAD HEARTS ONE MORE TIME.
