Default cummins

On the 2005 and later the lift pumps are in tank, no longer mounted on side of engine works alot better.

I'm a Duramax man.180,000 miles and replaced nothing but three idler pulleys(only one went bad, didn't trust the other two) and the belt.It snapped when the pulley seized.hard to drive thru town with no power steering and 35s. .Runs quiet enough I can still whisper in my girl's ear without hollering, too. My dad has a rattle-trap Ford with a 6.0.Loudloudloud.Swears he's buying a Chevy next.Dang 6.0 wants to run at 3000 rpm's all the time.No bottom-end in my opinion.BUT,my momma's Dodge is STOUT.If you can keep it in the road.Like driving with one front tire flat all the time.CHEVY all the way(even if it really is an Isuzu ops: )!!!Of course my girl friend loves her 6.0,but what do women know......

We have an 08 powerstroke 6.4 twin turbo and it will pull circles around a cummins or duramax, but fuel mileage sux, about 10mpg loaded, but I dont cut it any slack, usualy around 90mph with a 28' enclosed trailer.

yes a bully dog, set on the lowest setting, and the hills in Tennesse says it will out pull my friends 07 dodge and another friends 06 duramax. Going From Chattanooga to Nashville on I24 which I believe is a 15% grade for about 15 miles I left both of them like they were tied to a stump, and they were doing all they could. Also the dodge had a lighter load than I had, I was pulling a 28' enclosed with car in side, he was pulling a 16' open trailer with car.

Default CUMMINS

Well lets see now you are a 8 cylinder, cummins is a 6cyl :? :? if your turbo is factory it really isn't a twin turbo, the electric one just feeds the big one so there won't be any lag.

I dont really care if the little one feeds the starter, it is advertised from ford as a 6.4 twin turbo, from looking under the hood I cant even tell if there is a engine under all that stuff or not. I have no reason to tell anyone anything different than what I have personal experience with, this truck will pull like a mad mule. I have a 7.3 powerstroke with a bully dog also and this one will pull circles around it too.
