Do you know anyone in law enforcement who could contact the local police in his area for you? That is probably the path I would persue.

Thanks to all that have replied. I'm going to send him the certified letter, that way I'll have legal grounds to stand on if at some distant time down the road he suddenly appears and says "you sold my car!"

thats smart. atleast in my book. to much can go wrong selling to someone here let alone someone overseas.the only thing i see good about shipping a car or parts overseas is that if he turns out to be the kind that calls you every time something is wrong no big deal you got a ocean between yall!
