Default oil pan

Is there any horsepower to be gained with oil pans?

The short answer is yes. The long answer is that this is not a place to look for large gains over oil control depending on what you are doing with it. Are you a class racer / shootout racer and clicking it off at the line? If so and you have a very sorted out combination then go for it. I'm a bracket racer so keeping the pickup covered while on and off the throttle is way more important to me than a few hp. Plus my car is just slow.

The amount of power available is dependent on how good or bad your present pan is. This is just my opinion though.
