Gents:

It is good to have friends like you. Had a trip to Ohio... an annual Archery show called the ATA Show... just got back. It is nice to know I was missed; but it looks like you guys are holding things down well. Dirk, it appears you have favor in your travels too... welcome back.

Let me pose a question to you guys. What if I did not make it back? What if I died? How exactly would you know? I was thinking about this... what if one of us kicks the bucket, goes out in a ball of flames, etc... how will we all know if we loose one of our RJ brothers?? I would want to know if we lost one of us. Word of mouth is slow... not very reliable. I suppose payments would stop to RJ, & it would look like I just dissapeared... or lost touch. I am going to tell my wife how to contact you if I happen to go to Gods kingdom. Has this topic ever been addressed? What systems do we have to keep us informed of such a thing? As Double/D mentioned, we all ride "the bus", but we get off at different places. I know where we all are going, but some may go there sooner than others. Sooooo.... let's be aware if one of us croaks. Fair enough? Okay, thats it... enough said. Weird post huh??? Scooter

i think it was just moonshine season for rigs, wonder what vehicle
he ran this time, mercury, or a 56', a dodge, something big enough
for some gallons of moonshine, tearing up the back roads, heh heh
just joking, glad you didn't kick the oil bucket bud. 8)

and hope dirka gets plenty of home cooking while he's here,
and burn some rubber in his nieghborhood to let them know your
home, good luck bud

I share so much with my crew chief of what we discuss here on RJ, she knows it'd be a required action that she come on here and let all my racin' buds know if 'sumthin'' happened.
I've got my login to be automatic so she wouldn't even have to have a password.
Scoot, You get to drive the bus for a few passes !!
YAHOOOOOOoooo..........

Signs: truth is, I wish that I lived in those days (mooshine & midnight runs). I would say if if were the early sixties that I grew up, it would be about a 63 Belvedre w/a 383 & a 4-spd... my dad's friend had one that was black & pretty well stripped... w/ the dog-dish hub caps. I would burn a few moonshine runs in one of them. Now if it were even earlier than that, it would have to be a 55 Chev. I am 80's kid... all that great stuff was over by then I am told. I have always admired the old days & how our country was then. No big terrorists, kids did not have cell phones & I pods, movies not so shocking to watch, we seemed so much more innocent then. Now days, our political leaders seem to do things thought unimaginable today. Anyways, the closest I get to the old days is a good cruise in the Summer. Even in the 80's, I remember seeing alot of survivor muscle on the road... not now. I kinda got of track, but that is my thougt of the day. You know what I like about you guys? We are not necessarily the kind of people who focus on EATING good; we focus our lives on SLEEPING good. Scoot
