Hammer, I see that was an example now you pointed it out. But, that's about what mine varies. Sometimes I'll roll in a tiny bit more from time to time. I did try the 2 step for a weekend a couple of years back.

I see lot of people do it this way and it works ok but when you need everything to be the same (within thousands) a 2 step chip is almost a need be. If you were to log the difference in rpm between 130 and 180 degrees trans fluid temp you'd see a difference, causing it to not repeat as good.
