Thanks! I still have it, my mom bought it new in 1978 in Boulder, Colorado. It's the two door Cherokee Chief with a 401 engine. Got a 4 inch lift and 12.5 x 35 muddders on it. When I get my car finished it's the next project getting tackled.

Cool!I got one but it's a 4 door.Sucker will go anywhere with the Quadratrac locked in.Just gotta keep the glove box cleaned out so you can get to the knob!AMC engineering for ya

Know what you mean, the quadra trac sucks! The Borg Warner transfer case is weak. I've replaced this one about three times now. I've got a New Process 205 with a passenger side drop that I'm thinking about trying. If that don't work I'm going to put an Atlas after market in it.

The 205s are bulletproof.Is the hog head on a Jeep on the pass side.I thought that was a Chevy thing

It depends on which year model. Not sure when they changed over but the mid 70's like mine are a passenger side drop. I have seen both configurations though. :?
