Outlaw,
Does your tunnelram have a gasket in between the plenum chamber and runners? The gasket might be broken, cracked on one side only.

I agree i had that very thing happen on a Big Block Mopar once :!: Check those gaskets :!: :!: :!:

Outlaw.'m with Harbones on this one, if it's a straight a cross manifold, not an inline manifold switch the carbs side to side and see if it one of the carbs that bad, also as Mark said check the gaskets if it's a 2 piece manifold. i'm not a fan of Edlebrock carbs but that's just me.

yeah guys its a 2 peice manifold and the gaskets seem to be good. i replace them not long ago.i am going to ghange carbs on this thing. im gonna take the 2 carbs of my wagon and but them on the nova. if its the carbs it should clear up right then if not. i give up!! oh and DD it starts to turn red about 2 or 3 min. after its fired up.it will run like the devil is chasing it but it still glows.there a joke in there somewhere.lol

It's for sure a lean condition in the idle circuit on that side carb. It's idling 'okay' cuz it's getting juice from the opposite side as well, just not enough. Once off the idle is when it's performing so good.

havent been able to work out in the shop the last few days .i cant walk so good.to much of this damn pain.but im going out there today come hell or high water.!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if ya just switched sides with the carbs, if the opposite side starts that glowing thing, then you'll KNOW it's carb related.
