Chip Foose did one a while back for John Force on 'Overhaulin' like that one... turned out good. Personally, I like the Rat-Bus at the bottom!! The gate on back can be purchased at Home Depot too.

That is the ugliest rat rod I have ever seen! lol
I'm not all that crazy about rat rods anyway.
That's the cool thing about people having different taste. You end up with all kinds of crazy stuff people build.

My new name for them is 'RAD RODS' as they are a completely radical direction from anything traditional, pushing the boundaries of conformity. Not a single one is the same as another, like 'billet rods' tend to do.

I've seen a few that were pretty cool. I'm just not into the thrown together junk look. Bad thing is it would be a perfect thing for me to build. Put my best effort into it and people would think I built it on purpose to look junky. lol
That much bare metal and rust would give me a panic attack! I know they get clear coated and are suppose to look that way, but...

Yeah, I hear you Wabb... a lowered 1975 Granada (w/a 6 cylinder too) in primer Black with pained Red/Black wheels should not count as a "Rat Rod"... some have taken the Rat Rod movement WAYYYY TOO FAR. However a Model A slammed with a little rust is awesome to me.

Granted there are many that are literally thrown together 'junk', there are many more that are rolling works of metal art, and even MORE that blend it all together and they come out real nice. It all depends on one's taste, ya know !
