Actually, aluminum is a heat SINK.It absorbs heat quickly, but releases it very slowly.Cast iron actually gives up heat better. Not trying to be a smart aleck

Man, too bad you did not have a need for 335's. I got a nice set of Darts in the classifieds. Pro 1 CNC complete with headstuds and push rods that I would take $3K for.

I think it would have to pick it up some. Like others have said you are going to save alot of weight I'd guess close to 50Lbs..plus the flow, chances are the heads you have don't flow that well compared to the aluminum ones. I'd have to guess you'd pick up 2-3 tenths once everything works together..Cam,Carb,ect..

Another thing... with aluminium you can run a little more compression on the same grade of fuel. I switched to pro1's last year and bumped c/r to 12:1 and still run 91 oct pump gas. My old ported 461's wouldn't take more than 38 deg total timing. Pro1's like 44 deg total. I saw a big gain, picked up 7 tenths.

Those I think should run well on your 355 the runner size is good and the valve size. You could run them out of the box but if you want max performance then having someone who knows their stuff port them ect.
Just remember you will most likely pay upwards of $1000 or more for the work if it is done properly. But it will run it's best.
