Default First Time In 5 years??

Jeez, just logged in here and checked and according to the board search function I haven't made a post in here since back in 2013?? DAYUMN??

Was checking to see what was different on RJ cuz I'm thinking about putting an ad up to try to sell the Studebaker. I'm 72 years old now and haven't raced since I sold that Undercover dragster I had back in the spring of 2015. Studebaker hasn't been driven in a couple of years now. I do fire it up once in a while just to say I did but at this point I've pretty much lost interest in it.

Ennywho, saw a few names I remember from the past here. Good to see others still around.

Laters,

Ken

Yup, I've been a member here long enough to remember the a**hole that ran me and a bunch of others off. Zetagoat was his username and if you look up "pure a**crack" in the dictionary you'd see his picture.

A bunch of us left here and started another board, which ran until I shut it down to membership in February 2013. Seems that one a**hole couldn't get along with the other a**holes. ;-)

Ennywho, I can remember some of the good times here as well and there were some good guys here.

Well, I put the Studebaker up for sale here just now. Need to get some money out of it because when you get older, (I'm 72 now) it costs a LOT more just to live. That and I had to put a new roof on the house plus replace the entire heat pump system back in February and March. That set me back almost $11,000!! [/shock]

And since that happened my Medicare part B supplement insurance went up 35% in one shot plus my electric bill has gone up an additional $25 a month even though that new heat pump is twice as efficient than the old one??? WTF moments indeed!!

And then there was the 2% increase we got in Social Security on January 1st and be damned if they didn't take $21 of that $22.60 increase when they raised my regular Medicare coverage premium from $109 to $139 a month?? Another WTF moment?

Ennywho, enough whining for now, and, wish me luck selling "The Studebaker"! I'll probably check in here a little more often now that I've got the car for sale here.

Oh, and you can also find me over on the Speedtalk forum, same username down in the politics, religion and current events section giving liberals/progressives/socialists hell daily!!

Heh, here I am again!! Thought I had the Studebaker sold to a guy in New Zealand but I got cold feet when he started playing around with his payment method. Speaking of which, are you aware that a wire transfer of money can be RECALLED? When I spoke with my banker back a few months ago about selling the car to a New Zelander he cautioned me and that was when I found out about the RECALL. Seems my bank had to recall TWO wire transfer payments earlier this year!

I told the guy "down under" that the car was for sale for US DOLLARS CASH payable when it was picked up at my house. Never heard another word from him after that.

Ennywho, with every election that goes by it seems that Virginia is turning more and more BLUE so I'm kinda in the mode of selling stuff getting ready to move to Texas! ;-)

Hey thanks!! That car and I go back a LONG way, all the way back to 1989 when I pulled it out of that junk yard in Danville, Va.

I've got 4 guys following it but no takers...............yet. I'll probably have to drop the price some to get it gone. Need to wait and see how it all shakes out.
