I believe a good 12 bolt will take quite a bit of power if it is built for it. Maybe not in a car like BJUICES but for anything BOWHAY is going to throw at it it will be fine...my car has a 12 bolt with Strange spool axles etc behind a 540. .....(Watch, now that I opened my yap it will explode first time out this spring :? ).

but are you running power adders tod? seen some 12's let go when nos is used. im a chevy guy (bow ties runnng in veins) but also know where chevys weakness"s are and i hope you have no issuses

also based on what ive read unless i read wrong yours is "built" where as one in qusetion just has axle up grade. didnt see anything about c-clip eliminators so thats also what my opinion is also going off

im pretty sure im not gonna be breakin my rear with a 450 horse 383
it has rishmond gears, auburn posi and moser axles
i know there is better stuff out there but this is how i did it
and yea i know the truck is heavy but i love it lol

Tod,Think about this???
If you were going to REPLACE a 10 bolt?
Would you put in a 12 Bolt?I SURE HOPE NOT!!!
I KNOW I would NOT!Thats the POINT i'm trying to get accross?

Or maybe.... you change the stall speed, spray a little later, go w/a Dana 60 if you want to keep the family the same... I don't know, my Dana 60 is still together. Here's the thing- you have a long base p/u & spraying on the launch seems hard on the rear & hard to hook up @ the same time. You can only ask so much of a basically stock suspension p/u. I am certainly no expert, but it seems there is another way of improving your launch.
