28in. or 26in. Tall Tires??
I own a 89 camaro, it weighs roughly 3100 lbs with me in it. The car runs 11.50's in the 1/4 and 7.40 in the 1/8. The car has Mickey Thompson 28x10.5x15 tires on it now, but im debating changing over to a 26x10x15 tire to get a better 60' time since i have a 4.10 gear and foot brake the car on the line with a 3500 stall converter.
Any ideas if this would be the right thing to do?
Remember: i foot brake the car, so the rpm's are about 2700 at the most before i leave the line. And i honestly havent had much problem with braking traction by the 60ft. mark.

Many people think that width is the only measure of traction.
Curtis is correct - the longer rollout give you a bunch of square inches of sticky tire before you degrade it with the second revolution (and so on).
Eventually, it won't matter but you are up on your horse by then.
