Tod: me too... bought a 99 clit- tarus v6. Was diriving a lifted SBC/4 speed setp side (1975)... it sits now (10 miles/gal)!! Anyways, looking for a Rabbit diesel, I hear they get 50+/gal! I just heard the other day the McCain supports "off shore drilling"... I hope we can send the Arab's packing some day.

its a tug of war, the democrats want to tax the oil companies more
from their profits which will trickle down to the consumer in the long
run, instead of starting to drill here to relief some of the oil that
the saudi's pump. it's not just a good idea from john mccain, its just
time to drop hugo chavez and the saudi's and take care of the
good ol' USA, as long as congress keeps wanting to keep all the
nature save, we'll be in need of saudi's oil, forget them :x

Amen... the govenment can't bury thier heads in the sand & pretend we do not have a problem here. I can afford to adjust, some people cannot. Either way, it sucks... I will be doing less overall traveling because of this mess. Either way everyone has to sacrifice something due to the gas prices.
