well..... not so good.... seems the more i work on it the slower it goes... had timing set at 38... ran a 159 60 ft... thought it was to ... went far adv... went to 34... 178 60 ft.... set timing again to 36... went 178 60ft ...AND slowed down to a 11:90 at 113.45..... i am realley getting confused....i think i'm going to have it dyno'd... cars runs great...no stumble ... no flat spots... seems to run good through the lights.... no mph or et for what i've spent.... any sugestions are highley apperciated.... thanks...caveman... :? :? :? :?

You can run 40 to 42 degrees with that small of an engine, i've run as high as 44 degrees with a 358" with tunnel ram and 660 ctr squirter carbs. in a 3,000 lb 66 Nova, it ran high 1.40's and 10.70's.

thanks zip.... i was going to run it at 40 ... but wasn't sure if you could "getaway" with it that high... i adjusted the timing by "ear" where it seemed to like it ... 46degrees ... i thought o hell no..... but you may be rite... it likes the timing.... thanks for the suggestion..... caveman 8) 8) 8)
