Any of the above can work fine for what you are doing.
My perference is the GRP with Pro material for long life and strength. I am a GRP WD and can sell at jobber if that helps any.
I love aluminum rods on street cars. So does Joe Sherman.

Do the Howards that you're running have the 3/8 bolts or the 7/16. i've got an older set of Howards (new) 5.85 rods with 3/8 bolts and a set of BME with 7/16 bolts with 50 passes in a 11 sec. motor. one of these sets is going into my new 383 blown alcohol motor. Just curious which would you go with.

For aluminum, GRP, we have bought over 70 sets this year with no failures. As far as steel, we use Manley or Callies Comp star H beams even in 632's with nitrous. They will handle 1300 hp + 1 or 2 nos systems with no problem.
