74 Camaro Sub frame connectors question
Hello,
Can anyone tell me about installation of sub frame connectors for a 74 Camaro? Which is easiest to install, bolt in or weld? If you use bolt in, do you have to unbolt the subframe of the car to install the sub connectors?
Thanks for any help.

The only reason you need to move the rear leaf springs if your putting mini tubs in. Otherwise the stock spring location works just fine with the installation of subframe connectors. I just by a stick of 2 x 4 rectangular tube and fabricate my own, notching to fit the floor and rear factory frame rails. A custom fit works much nicer than the universal weld in connectors..

I like the bolt in ones welded into place and the bolt hole used for an additional welding place. lol. The fabricated ones made yourself with tubing is best though.

There are a couple of companies making sub-frame connectors with an X-brace crossmember. A good idea if you are putting these on a race only or primarily race car. Bolt or weld-in are fine but weld the bolt-ins like Ed suggested.
