I just went to 16V for this year. Summit has a charger that is like $180 thru the pro shop and I sent 2 alternators to Mark at House of Payne. Very inexpensive to convert to 16V

Back in my VeeWee days, we'd convert the old 6volt VW's to 12 volt but leave the 6 volt starter. ZZZZIIP ! Man would they spin over fast ! If the tuneup was good ,they'd pop off within a second or two. If the tune was bad you could burn down the starter pretty quick.
What do you do for all the 12 volt gauges and electronics when converted to 16v?

Why 16 volt at all, i see no reason for it, even with a blower motor. It's kinda like he has it so maybe i need it. If you are trying to catch up with the top fuelers and funny cars, they start with 36 volts and run mags. If you want more voltage too the starter have it rewired to lessor voltage. Nothing makes sense to me too endanger all the gages, delays, trans brakes, etc. just to say i got a 16 volt system. Sounds to me like another expensive upgrade not needed.
