Default Hood

I know this probably goes in classifieds but want opinions 1st.I have a 1968 Firebird.Small block chevy with a weiand tunnel ram with 2 450 holleys.Car came with original 400 hood with 2 ram air holes(missing inserts).Hood is in great shape and dont want to cut it for 2 fours.Cant afford new glass hood at this time was wondering would it be worh it for me to trade my stock original metal hood for fiberglass hood. Not worried about keeping original.Car is tubbed and far from original.Thanks,Randy.

If that hood is in real good shape you should be able to sell it and get a glass hood and have $$$ left over...

Glasstech or VFN are your best for glass

Thanks guys.Yes hood is in excellent shape. No rust at all. Some surface only.Does not have inserts but i have seen these are available.I have no intentions on cutting this hood at all.I know it would do somebody some good as original.Would rather sell or trade to someone who could use it.I have been around cars enough in my life to where I have a great respect for them and would rather somebody use this hood that needs it.I guess ill post an add after some research because i honestly dont know what this hood is worth.I wouldnt mind making some moneyLOL,but just want something i can use for something someone else can use.Not looking to make anything really. If so great.I love to help out so when i need help i can get it.Thanks again,Randy.

Just don't cut it...please. I don't have one of those cars but I know how bad it sucks to be looking for a hard to find muscle car hood only to find a rust free one cut up. Went through that while restoring my father's 67 el camino. He wanted an SS hood and back then they didn't sell an aftermarket steel one.( Actually had one on it when he got it,but some retard had filled the humps in the middle solid with body filler..lol...sad thing was they also had drilled a ton of holes in the humps to keep the mudd from cracking and coming out)
Put it on E BAY with a healthy reserve and see what bids ya get..if you are happy with them and reserve not met you can either drop the reserve or just relist it. good luck.
