i pulled up winterport dragstrip on google and youtube and noticed that dang track is wide ?..how old is that track..I LIKE the wideness of the track..its like it was in the old gasser day almost...down here they got us squeezed to close on our lanes.

That was an old WWII airfield,it pretty wide lots of room on both sides with a wide field on both sides at the end.I think the drag strip opened in 1967,its been repaved a few times since

Its not too bad for an ole Yankee track :P

This past weekend was the gasser guys weekend,there were lots of cars there,most I have ever seen since I been going there.

Thanks

This was the end results of that pass :P

The car got loose and started sliding side to side after the finish line. I used up about the whole track,and ended up looking at the starting line,doing a victory spin out :P
