Default BBC HEAD QUESTION!

Is there a bbc head that I can put on a stroker that has Aries dome 13:5 pistons to lower the comp. enought to run 92 octane? It is a fresh motor Dart Big M block etc. that is a torque monster and I don't want to take it apart to change pistons. Right now it has Dart 320 heads that flow 369 @ 800 lift. Its an excellant setup that I just can't get sold so I might as well run it on the street. This is my first BBC I always ran Pontiacs and this has been quite a learning experiance, and $$$ too! Any advice /help would be appreciated.

No, the only way to get the compression ratio down far enough to run it on pump gas is to change the pistons. I'd shoot for a max of about 9-9.5:1 with aluminum heads. That will allow you to get a bit more aggressive with the timing. You can go higher, but quality of fuel becomes an issue. Just my $.02
