can race track enforce this

Yes, it is their track and their rules. Why do you think they wouldn't? A track can make and enforce any rule they want, whether or not anyone agrees with it.
I actually agree with it. I don't want someone on the line relaying info the the guy I'm racing, if my car were to stumble or something. I spot most people I race and I want them looking for me not listening to their buddy and lifting.

It's the same in circle track. NASCAR is an exception and I do not agree with it there either. One man and machine against other men and their machines out on the track. No 'spotters' telling the driver what and where.

The track can inforce their rules,
The top pro classes in NHRA have head sets in their helments, although i don't know if they are on during the run but you can always hear the crew chiefs tell the driver what they ran, etc, i don't know if the driver can talk back or not.
It seems to me it would be a distraction rather than a gain.
In bracket racing the best cheater is still the manuel operated brake light swith especially if you have the slower car.

People have to realize that once you cross the threshold of the tracks property, you abide by THEIR rules and not yours or anyone elses. The track may be sanctioned by a national organization, which has it's own rules, the track can add, or subtract rules for their individual track.

Can't say I have a problem with nitrous though. I have considered it on my car to spray and dump sometimes when we get dragsters sliding over in No-E. I rarely get spotted though so I haven't done it yet. I don't see that as cheating or unfair. I am still the one making the call.

This makes sense to me. Well said. Come to the fight ready to fight... all the way to the 12th round.
