Default Walmart money transfer scam?

Anyone know of any scam using a Walmart cash transfer?

Guy is sending me money thru Walmart. He has given me a reference number that I can go to my Walmart and get the cash. Then I will send him my part. Sounds a little too easy. He says he is in a big hurry and did not want to wait on a Postal money order to arrive. Anyone do this or know of a scam doing this?

Never heard of this one. You are right, sounds to easy. I knew Walmart sells
most everything, but did not know they were into Banking. I believe I would
inquire with my local Walmart to see if this is legit.

Well, I went for it. Turns out the sender has to do cash or debit card to his Walmart. Then when Walmart sees there is cash or his debit card clears the bank, then they will release cash to the seller after getting a reference number and photo ID. Supposedly it is as safe as a Postal money order for the seller and quicker for the buyer. I got the cash this morning and he will have his carb tomorrow. He can try it out this weekend. It is called WALMART TO WALMART and cost about $10 for $500 sent.

First time using Racing Junk. I was about to make a purchase and this was proposed. I would stay away as there is no consumer protection, just like Western Union. I read about some scams and Escrow.Com was recommend. This would require both parties to agree ( haven't read it in detail ) before funds are released. It definitely warrants more investigation.

I've done this 2 times my self with the Walmart money gram. But I was the receiver of the money. Got my cash and I shipped the parts.

Since the first deal with the Walmart money transfer, I have done a couple more where guys were in a hurry and offered to send by Paypal. We did the Walmart system and made the deals go faster for them. I have had a couple in a hurry to get carbs for the coming weekend, that would not do the Walmart, they only wanted to pay by Paypal. I wonder if they were going to dispute the deal back to Paypal to try and get their money back after the deal was done.
