Default ANYTHING BUT WINTER WEATHER

GUYS!

IT IS TIME TO STOP TALKING ABOUT COLD WEATHER!! I CAN'T STAND IT ANY MORE.

HOW ABOUT LOCK UP CONVERTERS. HAS ANYONE TRIED ONE YET? I KNOW IT IS A PRO-MOD DEAL, AND IT IS OUTLAWED IN NHRA RACING, BUT IHRA ALLOWS THEM IN BRACKET RACING AS i KNOW, WHICH DOES NOT MEAN MUCH. I AM USUALLY GET IT WRONG.

THE REASON I AM ASKING AS I AM GETTING A NEW CONVERTER FOR MY COMBINATION, AS I HAVE BEEN TALKING A LITTLE ABOUT IT HERE.

I BORROWED A GOOD JW CONVERTER FROM MY FRIEND. WHICH WAS IN HIS BIG BLOCK DRAGSTER IT STALLED AT 5800.

IN MY DOOR CAR COMBINATION; 2500 LB WITH ME, CHASSIS CAMARO, 632 BBC, PG W/1.98, AND 4.10. IT BLEW RIGHT THREW THE CONVERTER TO 6900 ON LAUNCH. I CALCULATED THE SLIP AT 12%, SO I NEW I NEEDED TO GET ONE BUILT FOR MY COMBINATION. I AM GETTING ONE FROM A GUY WE USE HERE IN PITTSBURGH. JIM GILLECE.

BUT WITH NOTHING TO DO BUT THINK, I STARTED LOOKING AT WHO IT BUILDING RACING LOCK UP CONVERTERS. MY RESEARCH SHOWED ATI, HUGHES. SPECIALTY, AND COAN. OF COURSE THERE WERE NOT PRICING BUT FINDING OUT WHAT IT INVOLVES, I DO NOT BELIEVE I COULD AFFORD ONE.

SO HOW ABOUT SOME INPUT FROM ALL YOU VERY EXPERIENCED, AND TALENTED DRAG RACERS.
