Good info been going back and forth between a 40and 9mm for my next handgun purchase. I already have a 45acp among others just seems that. 40 cal ammo is more plentiful around here right now.

i took a 45 40 and a 357 shell each and cut a cross into the lead then fired them into wood seems the 357 tore the wood up worse than the others. but dont matter. a 22 is the prefered caliber for killin up close.

Yep, 22's can rip & ricochet like a pin-ball machine. Pow!!... liver, kidney... Pow!! off the rib, into the right lung, Pow... left testicle... SCORE!!! 1000 points in only three shots. Purse pistols can be a force to reckon with. Still... up close I want the BBC instead of the SBC... just to make sure the job is done a little quicker (more mess though).

22 magnum , when I was a deputy , a fellow officer actually carried a 22 mag as his sidearm.
And I know for a fact that a 22 mag will drop a full grown deer with one shot . (if hit in eye) :roll:
