What a loss. All the news reports were saying winds of 200+ mph but it was more like between 200-300 mph more toward 300 mph. One man on the news said he never heard anything like it. I told somebody yesterday if you really want to get an idea of how devastating this was. Imagine your car in your driveway lifts up off the ground 100plus feet and is thrown thru your neighbors house. Now imagine 100s of cars, trucks. 8000 lb tree trunks flying thru the air. I would say that in itself would be loud added to the wind. Very luckey no more were hurt than what they have reported.

Horrible... I work with some dealers in OK... none of them were hurt by this. One thing I have gathered from them is that they are SURVIVORS... they are strong folks that are not afraid to work & recover. I will be happy to donate to the cause!! Stay strong Moore OK!!!

about 4 years ago I was in Clemson SC at the post office . The campus has their own dopppler radar and warning system The sirens went off. I walked outside in the parking lot and the sky was black and green and The best Way I can explain it as you looked up it the clouds were moving really low and fast like it was traveling to a certain point like water does in a draining bathtub...I watched the clouds as they started to churn then the funnel cloud dropped to the ground about 200-300 yards in front of me..It was HUGE and scary as HELL..It took a minute for it to register what I was seeing before me..it wasn't but like a f-1...100-120 mph winds but it scared the Be-jessel out of me..1st time I ever saw one in person and I hope the last time...here is a pic I found on line and a you tube Video a Clemson University student took from the dorms about a mile away...It was well formed at one point. There use to be pics on-line from a distance some people took I can no longer locate That showed the tornado fully formed .
Its hard to tell How big those things really are unless you are up close and personal..they are Evil..

I cannot imagine the F-5 Those people went thru...

There have been 2 near my house the last couple years. I was home for one of them it stopped about 2miles from my house I did not see it just the sound you will never forget. I think that one was a EF0 dont think I have ever ran down steps faster trying to get to the basement. Lets keep them all in thoughs and pray for them.
