Listening to most of those guys who have backgrounds or reputations is somewhat of a warning from someone who's concerned and looks at trends . . But most of the people I talk to who are conservatives already see the problem. Or most of it.

And the Problem is, most of the Guys giving speeches don't really talk about the problem.

The Problem is with the people who we vote in to represent us in our different levels of Government . . They don't represent those who voted them in, and they don't want to leave that seat of power once they attain it. Obama isn't responsible for the $16+ Trillion Dollar debt, just the last 7 or so. Your (and my) Congressman or Senator helped with the first ten, and I can almost bet that, in most cases, He or She was there to vote for those spending bills.

Our Federal Legislators are aging. Most have been in the House or Senate for more than three terms, and should have been gone after the first. These people hold power and are very reluctant to release it. And that power is seldom used for the good of the country or their constituents. It's generally used to keep their stations and we have seen a lot of pissing on trees in the last six to eight years.

It's time to get rid of them. Primary out the Republicans and defeat the Democrats . . Find people who can be fiscally responsible and understand that creating a Socialist Democracy isn't in anyone's best interest. And elect them. Then elect new ones and make term limits something that's done at the ballot box . .

X2 to both of ya...

THE biggest 'chaaaaaalenge' we face is EDUCATING the low information/LAZY voter and the getting them to actually vote...2012 saw a HUGE reduction on both sides of voter turnout. People have literally given up or given in.....

This is NOT isolated to the U.S.A. ....it is virtually a GLOBAL issue now and RAPIDLY spiraling out of control or even beyond the point of no return. It is not year by year nor month by month any more, but day by day that schitt is happening.

scary...........

One of the tenants the Founding Fathers had when they drew up the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and then defined their documents and what they meant with the "Federalist Papers", assuming that the population of this country would be at least as literate and concerned as were the citizens of that time . .

We're not! Not even close anymore. Few people understand how any part of the government works or even how the selection/election process works, and quite a few who assume they do aren't generally aware of any of the issues facing the government everyday or what is needed to change them. And that goes for both sides, both the Progressives and the Conservatives.
