bbc used piston question

Default bbc used piston question

thinking about buying a set of used pistons, they are keith black 787 my motor is a stock crank and rods open chamber heads my question is that on kb website it shows these with a 4.25 stroke and 6.385 rod can i still use with a 4 in stroke and 6.135 rod?

No. Your piston will be .500 down in the cyl at TDC if I did the #'s right.

k but if a guy picks them up for 125 is it worth finding a set of 6.535 rods?

You would still be down in the cyl and I forgot in my first post crank throws to piston skirt clearance might still be an issue.

No problem. If you have a reputible engine builder close by that you trust you can check with him also.
