Default Memorial Day Salute

I posted a song and vid from act of Valor in the video section but I wanted to post a Memorial day tribute on the general page. It focuses on the Navy Seals and their Black Ops missions such as taking out OSAMA etc.. but I wanted to salute all the troops not just the spl forces units.

Please see this Movie. (Act of Valor)

Also one more thing Please Remember Rudy Hollloway his Wife and family this weekend. As many of you know he lost his son Jay ( a Marine one of the best) in Afganistan. Although Rudy is no longer on the board my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family...Jay made the Ultimate sacrifice. Rudy must be a real proud to be Jays Father !!

please listen to this song and pay speacial attention to the words...its strong and its something all men have in them if we are pushed to that point.

God bless the USA !

( Please feel free to post a vid or song or anything that strikes a nerve with you that stirs up that Patriotic feeling from the heart and gut in honor of our troops ! )

Very nice Brian.

I do miss Rudy and I am sure this weekend will make him proud and also bring sadness.

To Jay and all the service members that have gave the ultimate sacrifice in defending our freedom, I salute you!

Well said Brian, I feel for Rudy also as I have a stepson who is a Marine. I can't imagine the struggles he faces at times. I used to talk to Rudy quite a bit when I was home healing up from my surgery a few years ago. I miss him.

God Bless our Troops.

Keith Urban - For You

Lyrics:
All I saw was smoke and fire; I didn't feel a thing,
but suddenly I was rising higher.
And I felt like I'd just made the biggest mistake
when I though about my unborn child;

when I thought about my wife.
And the answer rang out clear
from somewhere up above:
No greater gift has man, but to lay down his life for love.

And I wonder, would I give my life?
Could I make that sacrifice?
If it came down to it, could I take the bullet, I would.
Yes I would for you.

Maybe you don't understand
I don't understand it all myself.
But there's a brother on my left and another on my right.
And in his pocket just like mine, he's got a photograph.
And they're waiting for him back home.

And it's weighing on my mind.
I'm not trying to be a hero;
I don't wanna die.
But right now in this moment, you don't think twice.

I wonder, would I give my life?
Could I make that sacrifice?
If it came down to it, could I take the bullet, I would.
Yes I would.

You don't think about right; you don't think about wrong.
You just do what you gotta do to defend your own.
And I'd do the same for you -
Yes I would.

I would give my life.
I would make that sacrifice.
'Cause if it came down to it, could I take the bullet, I would.
Yes I would do it for you.
I'd do it for you.

this is a very somber time for me. i wish all the guys and gals in the forces the best. and i cry for the fallen and wounded. i have always regreted not joining during veitnam war. because of guilt that i didnt do my part. ive always felt that i some how let my country down. i wasnt no peace loving, spit on the gi hippie, thou i did have long hair( i still hate haircuts). i let my dad talk me into not going but not for fear of dying but because of my hatred for authority.he said id spend more time in the brig than in combat.he was a korean vet.and he was proud of his service as was i.so to all you vets and to the ones that have lost a loved on in war i thank you all.

Remember those that have fallen....take the time today to explain this to your children. I asked my daughter if at school did they talk about why they had the day off, she said no. That is so wrong.
