Apparently their laws are different than the U.S.

Thats pretty wild! We use to do that to here in Canada but it wasn't on a freeway, lol! But when we saw traffic coming,we let them go by and then resumed our drag races, that was in the 80's Now its all at the drag strip 8)

There has always been some pretty big money street races in my small hometown.
Last year two kids were standing in the road (in their driveway which was the finish line) watching a race, the cars wrecked and one of the cars ran over them. One was killed aother hurt pretty bad.
Needless to say everybody ran,( except one driver who had to go to hospital), but all were caught.

Police took everybody's phones and got all phone records / text records and video to find anybody involved in the race.

Bad part is the kids were 15 and one a lot younger and the mom knew they were out watching and filming the races for years. I remember people racing on that same road as far back as the 80's.
Guys use to haul thier race cars on trailers and race there every Sunday afternoon.

I thought there was another small child hurt, but this doesn't mention him.

I never liked street racing. I raced a few times, but it wasn't for me.
I'd rather take it to a track.

This is exactly why there should not be dragstrips closing but more opening up.... Very sad though.
