Default Chevy 12 bolt....refilling with gear lube

I recently changed gears in my Chevy 12 bolt with Mosier axles, and had to refill the rear end with gear oil. I used 90 weight....about 2 quarts. Now one of the axle seals leaks. I never had any indication of this before....I pulled the axle out, inspected the seal, and it looks fine. Is it possible I overfilled the rear end, and caused this problem? The car has not been driven throughout this whole procedure. It's not that I'm too cheap to buy new axle seals.....I'm having a hard time identifying and finding the right seals. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When older seals are 'disturbed' from their 'set' they can develop a leak.
I make it a habit to replace the axle seals on any older vehicle where I do rear end work.STD SOP.

Pull out one of the seals and find the part number on it, you'll be able to source a new one that way.

No visible part #s.......I'm afraid I might have to get axle dia., i.d. and o.d. of the seal, and just start searching. Thanks.
