new w questions
Ive raced lots of things with wheels here and there through my 35 years. Never owned anything, just had friends or a kart track nearby, BMX as a kid etc.. Always finished well, but mom was a ER nurse and thats pretty much the end of anything fun LOL!
Been wanting to get into it on the cheap and go from there... Like a 4cyl daytona or mustang and just beat the crap outta it, fix it and do it again. Im in St Pete, FL so I guess the nearest track is Auburndale.
Any advice? Its this or Im joining a boating club w unlimited enjoyment of dozens of various boats, all I pay for is gas and dues. But Id rather be racing and fixing.
Whats it cost? to go on the cheap... but still have fun and be competitive.
thanks!

my first race rig I took to drag strip
was a 76 long bed chevy truck
had a lot of fun with it, and it pissed off a few people getting beat by a pickup
my friend called it the shit box chevy

Dang Jeff. That is a deal. Car looks pretty buttoned up too for 6K. Seriously... If it were only Feb/March 2012 I would consider that one. Bad timing for me until then. That will make a great affordable starter car to bracket race. Scooter

Besides I like the thought of Fellow members giving their Buds on here 1st shot on a Good Deal before anyone else...Sounds reasonable doesn't it ? also the trust Factor .Wow how much is that worth on top of the deal ? I would feel a whole lot better buying something from someone Like, Rabbit, Scoot,Zip, Bone,Hammer......etc,etc....than a total stranger

Agreed. It is worth so much more to buy from a friend or member that we know. It is hard to beat that much fun for 5 or 6K. Jeff's car is worth that all day long. Seriously... we all know how much it takes to build one like that.
