Default brodix

Greg i called Kyle about those heads he said he has $6500 into them!!, its a great deal for this set of heads, if i bought them i would have to buy a intake & have it ported & would have to have the heads milled to 66cc chambers so i think i will go with Chad Speire as i have Jesel shaft rockers & a ported dominator intake. thanks for your help Doug

Greg Kyle told me his SBC with those heads dynoed at 1350hp with a procharger!!!!!!, i have a friend that has a 598" bbc that ran a week ago it went 8.98@150 in a 3000# camaro, i can buy that motor complete for $5000 it would make my car a very good super gas car. thanks again Doug

Default 598

Doug,
The 598 must be a Pump Gas Motor!Although 5g's is a GREAT Deal for a Complete 598,its Only making 825-850HP.Which is Great if you have 650 now?
But My 496 has Gone Faster than the 598 @ 3000lbs.
I would be Curious to see what componets are in the 598 and static comp.?
I Understand the Added Expence on the Brodix Heads will be More that going the Other Route.I beleive a Edelbrock (4926?) Intake is what He uses, probably under 300.00 and you would NOT Nessesarily have to Port it.But,would NEED a set of Off~Set Lifters,so you would be in the 37-3800.00 Range? It ADDS up Fast!
Good Luck!

Default 598

Greg that 598 has all good parts merlin block, bryant, oliver rods, 14 to 1 pistons and 360 dart heads, brodix intake with a grant type dominator he just bought a 565 that made 1030hp on a dyno. i think that run was his only wide open pass as he runs super street 10.90@145 my car in super gas ran 9.90@141 with my 434. i'll stick with my sbc i do hope to go faster with a better set of heads next year i'll let you know if it was worth the effort!, at woodburn i run a 5 race series no electronics for front engine dragsters, roadsters & altereds, and at madras i run pro class. thanks again Doug
