Default 73 CAMARO Z-28 " Whats it worth"

when I was a teen I had 6 or 7 of these but have lost touch in what they are worth.

this weekend I spotted a 73 z-28..=I matched the trim tag and its a REAL Z. Factory 4 speed.. its a 350ci with boost power brakes.....its been repainted white with two black strips, original color was a light Blue...interior is fair , dash is Good..clutch and tranny feels ok sitting there feeling thru the gears...I looked at it last night with no lights and saw it had a contortion bar under the rear housing which led me to think it could be a real Z..when I went back today without Wife and Kid...and further inspected I found it was a Z.

Its got aluminum world heads someone painted chevy Orange..paint is good, floor pans good etc....

just wondering what they bringing ???.....the price is $8500 on this one.

Thanks

here's a pic I took with my cell phone about 30 away. just zoomed it in..gives you some idea.

Its worth that price all day if the floorboards, trunk pan, rear frame rails and subframe are all soliid. Theres a few on ebay in worse shape for the same money. If you can talk the down a grand or a little more, it would be a good score :!:

Surprised to hear "8500" ... is it number matching block casting? True 4-spd car? Maybe if it is a virgin, you can find a build sheet on her somewhere. Price sounds good... to good for a lot.

thanks Bone,Outlaw and Rigs...everything you guys said I feel or think the same way..I called back again today and can't get the guy to call me back, only his lady that runs the front desk..

I am attached to these cars from my early childhoods days. I had a 1971 back in 1980 I drove back and forth from HighSchool and would drive to the local dragstrip on Thursday Night and enter the gamblers race..Never did win but I did make it down to the final's a few times.

Check out the NastyZ28 website, its truely dedicated to the 2nd generation Camaro owners. No snobs or rudeness like YB and there everything from anal numbers matching car owner to full out blown chassis cars. Lots of tips, projects and parts for sale.
