Default Building pontiac 455. need help. im a rookie

I've had my car for a while and want to improve it. its a 1980 T/A with a th350 (stock) and a 72 pontiac 455. been bored out to a 468 and had valves done. also has twin carbs and will be getting forged pushrods once cam is decided. looking to make a street driver with a little go mostly highway with some stop and go. so heres what i have a question about:
I want a cam, maybe a 288/302, or a 303/313, but someone told me to go to 1.65:1 roller rockers (comp cams rpm1452-16) instead and put in a 274/277 cam.
I dont know much about this kinda stuff but i dont have air and just put in a 4 core brass radiator w/ a tran cooler, and electric fan.
Dont know heads but basically stock. No headers for now.

Any thoughts? all welcome.
