Default slicks mounting and tubes

After running over an old bearing i popped my 31x14xr15 slick, luckily my dad had another pair i got off him. My old slicks were running inner tubes and most tire places won't touch anything with a tube.

My question should i mount them without the tubes i have just steelie rims that are dished for my car they were done a few years ago but i just have duck tape over the two seems where it was dished will it hold air and i run tire screws also. I havent screwed around with tires alot i see alot of people say you dont need them (inner tubes) and also if i take out the tube i'll need the large valve stem correct? any inout would be great

There are already several threads about tubes.
