Default Selling on RJ - WHY do strangers ask to be your friend? POLL

Seems like anytime I am selling something on RJ there are a number of strangers that respond by requesting to be a friend. I always ignore these requests.

I dont do the social media like myspace, facebook, etc. as I dont want to potentially engage any freaks or crooks.

However, this time I am selling a car, and don't want to turn away potential buyers.

Am I mistakenly ignoring interested buyers? Do serious buyers ever respond first by requesting to be a friend?

Maybe some think the more friends they have the better it looks when they sell stuff (maybe scam someone) , I dont accept many and deleted a lot of people that I dont know.

If someone can see your pics and you have completed your profile it may give a perspective buyer the chance to see who you really are????

Most of the time ad's will say more pic's in my profile ! Well if you choose to ignore them then yes you could loose buyer's by doing this :!: I see nothing wrong with having a friend's list :!: :!:
