Oversize SBC rod bearings
I have new BBC stroker crank (odd length) with SBC rod journals. My problem is I have way too much clearance and the only oversize I find is .001.
Does anyone make a .002 or more? (I'm measuring 2.0972 on the crank).
I just hate to turn a brand new crank to .010.
Thanks, Dave

Hope this helps. It lists large journal sbc rods and main sets at +0.002" sizes.

Hey Dave i think you mean undersize bearings, almost everone sells them. The oversize bearing comes with an HX.001/HX.002. i think if you get a .001 undersize bearing it will not be too much clearance for a B/BLK stroker, i try to put .0025/.003 min clearance on every B/BLK i build and run 20/50 oil.

Thanks Zip.
I was confused on the sizes and they way they describe them. Apparently race bearings are only available in .001 and 1X.
I ended up buying the CB663P002 which is the Clevite 77 standard bearing and milling the chamfer in them. I am to .00250 to .00275 oil clearance now.
