hey guys, ive noticed that there is hardly anything going on here in the forums lately.new threads are becoming fewer and fewer.i love to read this stuff so why?somebody post something so i can get some shi- started.

and I gotta a bunch of broke stuff I'm fixing. Need to start cutting some grass as a part time job to fix what I tear up racing. :shock:

ok friends, ill take all the above reasons.i was just afraid we were startin to fall apart.you boys are about the only ones i even talk to anymore, so id hate to lose yall lol ken

This is how we sit today, except the trans is back in. It'll be finished by end of the weekend (after I finish cutting grass lol) or at least by the following weekend for the next race.

After lookin' at yours makes me feel good at how close mine is to being back together.

It's not that bad. I got it all back together except for the driveshaft and I'll pick it up tomorrow. I don't like going into the motor to often ( 'cause it cost to dang much), but I like tearing into everything else.

That's a jegs flywheel wrench. I broke the tip off pulling the trans last week. Had to weld it back on, but it works better than it did when I bought it.

Yep, TWO WEEKS AGO! New ring gear and all new bearings and the pinion bearing exploded / locked up with two passes on it. It got all the yokes, drive shaft and trans input shaft too.
I've gone through everything and the only thing I can think of is I only put 2 quarts of oil in the year and it just wasn't enough to lube the lower bearing enough and it was also synthetic oil which isn't the best to use until something is already broken in for a little while. IDK, but I will never be cheap on oil again. I'll fill her up to the fill plug.
