SCARRY RIDE, 1/4 mile steering problem
67 camaro, 1/4 mile run, running 11.4, 119 mph. I have to steer the car to correct for constant fishtailing through the entire 1/4 mile. Now I know the tires are not spinning all the way through. Running 10 inch street slicks, GM 12 bolt 3.73 posi gears on standard 67 Camaro suspension with traction bars. I have the welded in subframe connectors. What are the various possibilities to check and in what order?

Check the 'U' bolts on the rear end as well as EVERY fastener in the rear suspension along with bushings for slop. Wouldn't hurt to check the rear end 'square' with the chassis. Also check wheelbase side to side.

as Mark said..check the air pressure simple things 1st...also sounds like your chassis is definatley not loaded at that point...example my nova will move around on you without Nitrous than with Nitrous..its the way we have the 4 link set up....this is totally different set up then you have but same weight transfer/chassis loading principle.
Your next step is to get the chassis loaded...I have a stock 69' camaro leaf spring car with slapper bars, weld in sub frame connectors( all the sub connectors do is resisit the car from twisting)...has a run a 5.84 @130 mph and very stable.
to make it work we placed a lot of pinion angle in the car and placed some moroso trick springs on the car..so the front end has a lot of travel ( soft )..so it tranfers weight real quick off the line and stays transferred to back tires as long as you have it under a full throttle..
