Default piston ring end gap ?

What is everyone running for end gap, I'm going 540 bbc, with the odd spray of 250. conventional rings. running on pump gas. street / strip.. manufacturer says ..008 x bore for top ring, and .0055 x bore for second ring, which gives me about .0036 / .0025. does this sound tight or loose ?

Don't know if i agree with the manufacturer or not. but i run .0075 per inche on the top ring for pump gas with a 250 shot and i also run the same on the second ring because it cut's down on ring flutter on the second ring and seals better.
By the way you have 1 too many "0" in your equasion/math.

With that 540 she's still going to be a nasty bird and I'm sure a real contender for another championship, good luck this summer Brian!
