Default 434" sbc if I go to afr 245 heads & less comp will

i have a 434" SBC with 14.8 to 1 and AFR 227 ported heads (58cc) car & driver 2420#, if i go to AFR 245cc heads (70cc) and .039 head gasket i will be at 13.3 to 1, my car ran [email protected] on a 4ths. pro tree deep staging, what i would like to know will i lose et? thanks for you help Doug

nope cause them 245's flow more then your ported heads... so i think even with less comp that you should run a little quicker

that is exactly what i wanted to hear, i was told the 235's would be 50 hp better then the 227's, if i bought the 245's i didn't want to slow down. thanks Doug

Make sure your using the spread port exhaust.

Default afr 245 heads

yes I have spread port heads with Jesel shaft rockers, I called AFR and they are not ready yet (next month) I might be able to use my rockers but would have to buy offset intake rockers, if it is not to expensive I would like to use them. just did not want to slow down. thanks for your info Doug
