well... i put a budget 383 together to get me though till my 406 was done. it has stock alum corvette heads and pink rods and it running low 11's in my 2500 pound vega shifting at 6500 rpm........you can build a 10.50 motor with what you got

i got a stock bore 400 sbc block(only 2 bolt) and a few 350 blocks(2 bolt and 4 bolts) if you need one

How much does your car weigh? Might be difficult to get there on a 4.11 gear. I'd build the 383 or 388 whichever. I would also go with more compression unless you already have the pistons. Good crank. 6 inch rods, and a good piston (all ballanced of course) with your intake, heads and cam and more like a 4.56 or 4.88 gear will get you there if your car is light enough (2600 - 2700 lbs). What convertor do you plan to run? I would think at lease a 5000 and maybe a 5500 with the cam you listed.

go ahead and put you a 200 nos system in place and get the right cam in order for the nos along with proper ring installation, fuel and timing system......thats all you will need on that 400ci for EASY low 10's...possibly some 80's or 90's if your car works well....One thing about NOS many do not know is that its a Great Chassis tunning device..This did not sink in with me until year before last....

Nos is as safe as running all motor if you know what your doing setting it up and running it properly
