    Pro-Mag 20 or fuel problem?

We have a new set up in a nostalgia dragster that is giving us problems and I was wondering if anyone else has run into this. It is a blown big block with a 6-71 and enderle hat on alchohol, 498 cu. in. We have been all over the map with fuel, lean, rich etc., all over with the timing 28-34. It sounds like the rev limiter is kicking in at a low rpm. The pro-mag 20 and coil were just gone through by MSD. At the top end it sounds like a ricer, or more like it just blands out at about 5,000-6,000 rpm. Have tried chips up to 9,000, no change. All my old achohol buddies tell me to throw the MSD away and put in a Mallory Mag. The tune up is very close to Spud Millers recomendation and we are getting some plug color. Is it the Mag or do we have some sort of fuel problem? Any help would be appreciated.
