Default One Nasty 4 Door 56 Chevy

My son and i bought the 56 in 2000 in Fort Smit, Ark as a turn key project. In the 10 yrs. since then its gone from the 14's to the 9's so far. Stock stroke 60 over 350 gm 0010 block with just the right combination of components and an NX Nitrous kit. Still in the dialing in stages. On a 100 shot it ran a best of 9.87, and with one run out of the trailer on a 150 shot it went 9.75 @136. Weather turned bad before we could tune it. Heading back next weekend. Hope to get to the 250 shot before the end of the season.

Nice ride, i recoganised the track immediately, i can't tell you how many times i've been down that track in the mid sixties, in everything from a 1939 La Salle coupe to blown chevy powered 1956 T'bird. It was between Great Lakes, US 30, Rockford, and Oswego at the time. Good old days for me i grew up in Chgo. and moved to the Elgin area in in 1962. My daughter still lives in Vernon Hills.

Zip.

With all the removals and replacements were about 2950 on the weight. The wheelies are definitely cool, but we're still tryin to take that out a bit to bring the et"s down. With this set up if we dont have some kind of lift, it just bounces down the track, when the tires let go. Just lookin for that happy medium.
